Boston Skin Cancer Excision and Reconstruction

Published on July 29, 2013

It’s hard to imagine that every year over one million people in the U.S. alone are diagnosed with Skin Cancer. There are several types of skin cancer, including Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Malignant Melinoma. Each of these present differently, have varying degrees of severity and spread at different speeds, but all are equally important in being detected early and treated.

Contrary to common belief, Skin Cancer does not discriminate by skin color, type, or age. Wearing sunscreen, while beneficial, does not completely eliminate your risk of developing Skin Cancer. It is imperative that you check yourself and get checked out regularly by a doctor to ensure early detection. Richard A. Bartlett, M.D. has vast experiencing treating skin cancer patients in New England and will work closely with your doctor to ensure the best treatment for you. If you would like to schedule a consult, we invite you to give us a call at (617) 735-1800 or send us an e-mail. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
