Dr. Bartlett is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Now in his 15th year of practice, he began his plastic surgery training at New York University, where he completed a prestigious and highly sought-after plastic surgery residency and a Craniofacial and Microsurgery Fellowship. This additional training in Craniofacial Surgery gave Dr. Bartlett a unique appreciation of how anatomy relates to form and beauty.

Dr. Bartlett began practice in Boston in 1991. In 1996 he became the Associate Chief of Plastic Surgery at Children’s Hospital and Associate Director of the Craniofacial and Cleft Lip and Palate program, positions he held until 2005. From 2001 to 2003 Dr. Bartlett was the President of the Medical Staff at Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bartlett has traveled to Nicaragua, Columbia, and Panama as a volunteer with Operation Smile. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery, The Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, and The Plastic Surgery Research Council. He is on the staff of Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, New England Baptist Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Considered one of Boston’s premier plastic surgeons, Dr. Bartlett is recognized for his expertise in facial surgery, and his skill is often sought in difficult cases involving facial deformities of the ears, nose, and cheeks, as well as congenital defects (giant birthmarks, traumatic deformities, cleft lip, cleft palate).
